Ah, the Fiat X1-9. You see, the 80s produced some crappy European "sports" cars that were basically large go-carts that people who wanted to be cool drove with pride. The Triumph TR7, the MG, Porsche 914 - there were several, and the Fiat x1-9 was no exception. Here's a picture:


I grew up in Ceres, and while it's not the greatest place in the world, I never thought of it as a white trash type of place. Until I saw this slightly modified - yes you guessed it - Fiat x1-9 about five houses down from mine:
